On the evening of November 28th, 2023, Littleton High School’s girls swim team dove headfirst into their first meet of the season. The pool buzzed with excitement as 33 students, clad in the school’s colors, faced off against Evergreen High School, Golden High School, and Lakewood High School in an evening filled with spirited competition.
The meet began by featuring three Varsity 200 Medley Relays. The synchronized strokes of backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle set the tone for a night of thrilling performances.
Individual prowess took center stage with the 200 Freestyle and 200 Individual Medley events. Each swimmer showcased their unique strengths, earning cheers from the supportive audience.
The pace shifted as athletes like Madeline Roth, Jenna Ellquist, Enna Swackhammer, and Roseanne Donahue executed spectacular 1 Meter 6 Dives, combining athleticism with grace and finesse, leaving spectators in awe.
After a moment to catch their breath, the swimmers geared up for the next round of events. The mid-meet session included sprints and endurance challenges like the Varsity 100 Butterfly, JV 100 Freestyle, Varsity 100 Freestyle, and the demanding Varsity 500 Freestyle.
Team spirit was evident in the three Varsity 200 Freestyle Relays, where seamless coordination and synchronized efforts showcased the unity of the Littleton team.
As the meet approached its conclusion, the athletes gave it their all in the Varsity 100 Backstroke and 100 Breaststroke. The competition reached its peak with three intense 400 Freestyle Relays, where the team pushed their limits against their opponents.
In the end, Littleton High School’s girls’ swim team celebrated a successful start to the season.
