Kadence McMillan is an outstanding person, dancer, student and friend. She is 14 years old, and has been in LPS schools her entire life. McMillan is very into the arts, and she is in concert choir, drawing and drama here at LHS.
McMillan is a hugely into dance, and said, “I have been dancing with my studio Denver Academy of Ballet for 12 years.” Impressively, she has danced since she was two years old.
McMillan’s mom was a dancer when she was younger too.
“I think in a way that slightly influenced me towards dancing,” she said, “but I guess when I was younger, I was constantly dancing around the house and everything, and so my parents decided to start taking me to classes.”
Dancing is one of her favorite things to do, and it is what she does “day in, day out.” McMillan is “at the studio Monday through Saturday, constantly dancing.” She loves dancing and said, “it’s almost another way to outlet your emotions, your thoughts, your feelings.”
McMillan wants to keep dancing when she is older and hopes to get into a company. In the past she has done some training in New York and other places outside of her studio. She loved training with proper companies and conservatories in New York because,
“It’s really cool to see how they train.”
When she is not dancing McMillan does many things related to the arts. She likes to read, sing and act. She loves,
“Finding a way to express my emotions in ways other than just talking.” McMillan said, “and so I think those type of things draw to me.”
McMillan has been dancing for 12 years and loves the arts. She has spent time in New York for training, and loves dancing. When McMillan is not dancing she is singing, acting and drawing. She is a very impressive dancer, and person. If you ever see her in the hallway, say hello, she is a lovely person, and will definitely love to talk.
