In September, the Meow Wolf attraction finally opened in Denver. After the opening was delayed due to the pandemic, the immersive art experience is now the third, newest and largest, permanent exhibit. I got the chance to go experience this exhibit for myself.
I had really high expectations while going into the Convergence Station exhibit. After hearing all the hype surrounding the other Meow Wolf’s, I was really excited to see it in our own city. I really think these high expectations are what ruined the exhibit for me though along with the hype Meow Wolf receives.

Driving around the city of Denver, there are many colorful billboards to advertise for the exhibit. This had me on the hunt for them and looking forward to seeing the exhibit for myself.
I went with my family on a Wednesday night. It was extremely busy and the people who were there in my opinion, were not the nicest. It was not the staff, but the other people visiting the exhibit. In the parking lot, there were many license plates from surrounding states such as Wyoming and Kansas showing that Meow Wolf is for sure a tourist attraction.
In the exhibit, there were some awesome pieces of art that immersed you into this “out of the world” experience. It was dark, but full of neon lights and art pieces that would attract you. In the big warehouse, there were different doors that led to rooms with different themes.
My favorite room was the washing machine/laundromat theme. The gift shop was super cool with adorable merchandise of all kinds. There was merchandise; remaking things in the exhibit that you could bring home. If you go I would take a browse in the gift shop before you leave.
I would recommend going to see this new Denver attraction, but do not worry about rushing there right away. Go in with no expectations, because they will ruin it for you, and an open mind. You will see a wide variety of art and interesting exhibits that make you think outside the box.
