Sam Wells is a junior and has been in the LHS band program for 3 years. He also joined the IB program and has a background in technological and scientific knowledge that he is working hard to master. However, he is also mostly unknown to some people. This time though, he has made a breakthrough. A plan devised from many of Sam’s friends involved him being a valid option for Homecoming Royalty.
“I thought the idea was funny, but never expected much of it,” said junior Sam Wells. A couple weeks later, he contacted his colleagues and announced that he had made the official ballot.
“It was hilarious!” said Wells.
Regarding the other candidates (Dylan Hoover and Jake Held) Sam said, “I know them very well, and they make for good candidates,”
When asked who he had to guess voted for him, Sam said, “If I had to guess, I’d assume mostly band kids.”
Sam is also very excited to be a part of the upcoming school spirit week, and says he is especially excited for Among Us Day.
“I am very intrigued. I can’t wait to go to McDonalds for homecoming!” said Wells.
He has been very involved with Band and the IB and hopes to become more involved with the school in the future.
“I joined IB to have more of an academic challenge and to have a better understanding of how college level classes work,” said Wells.
Jake Held would go on to win the ballot, and Sam is grateful for this, saying, “I never really had any intentions of winning.” And asked whether or not he’d run again, Sam simply said, “No.”
