If a supportive community of reliable students wasn’t enough to interest you, Sources of Strength had a pancake breakfast bash this past Wednesday morning to encourage student connection and interaction.
Serving warm pancakes for anyone who walked up, the Sources of Strength’s community-building breakfast was a great start to the morning. Even Dr. Amy Oaks ate two pancakes and got to talk to students one on one about their day, month, year, and how happy pancakes make her.
Two pancake servers, junior Maya Rapp and sophomore Sophie Odell, describe what Sources of Strength meant to them, and how this event was very important.
“It’s an act of kindness. I think I can make anyone’s day by giving them free pancakes,” said Odell. Rapp adds that this first event is one of many to start a great year of Sources of Strength community-building activities.
A great start to just another Wednesday morning, Sources of Strength successfully created a community of happy students who cannot get enough of the sweet early morning gift. Staff, parents, and students all came together to make everyone’s day a little brighter.
