Terrifier 2 is a recently released horror movie that had left people across America throwing up and fainting due to the graphic scenes in the movie. The movie is about Art the clown terrorizing a city a year after he first did it a county over at the fair. The whole city had been told Art was dead, however, the police department had lost his body the morning after his “death”. Now, Art is back to get his revenge on Miles County. Terrifier 2 is a great representation of a classic-styled horror movie modernized with gore galore.
The movie follows Sienna and Jonathan, siblings who lost their father a year prior and are looking forward to having fun on Halloween night. Jonathan is fascinated by serial killers including Art the clown whom he believes to still be alive. This movie surprised me as I assumed it would just be another scare with a bad plot and acting but still entertaining to see all the blood and gore that can be spilled in the two-hour time.
However, the plot is very thought out and the acting is pretty good. The film does a great job including comedic parts of Art the clown and his rampage. David Howard Thorton does an incredible job as he poses as a killer clown that doesn’t have a single speaking line, but rather acts like a mime which adds to the eerie atmosphere created by everything seeming just a little off.
I can understand how a person may faint or vomit due to the scenes depicted, however, I do think it was a publicity stunt. Overall the movie Terrifier 2 is very well put together while still including the blood and guts that horror viewers will want. I would recommend seeing this movie with friends to get into the Halloween spirit and be shocked to the core by the details put into this movie.
