The bonfire took place on Wednesday, an event as a part of Homecoming Week. Two changes were made this year: moving the fire to the athletic parking lot, and having it take place following the Powder Puff Football game.
The students enjoyed having much to do and liked the venue of the parking lot where it was easy to see everything.
The bonfire was started off by a great performance from the band while the fire department got the fire going.
Once the fire was lit, all the students gathered in awe as the fire towered over the crowd. The whole time everyone and their friends were catching up and having homecoming fun.
The team captains of Girls’ Volleyball, Boys’ Soccer, cross country, Boys’ Golf, and Boys’ Football all came up to speak about each team’s seasons.
The evening was capped off by the pie-eating contest won by the freshman representative. The band played two more songs to end the night of fun, while the fire was burning dimmer and dimmer.
The bonfire was a great event on a chilly October night and is a great chance to spend time with friends and grow as a community.
