The LPS Ultimate Frisbee Team consists of 10 AHS, HHS, and LHS athletes, and they compete against high schools and other club teams around the state, in both the Fall and Spring. Ultimate Frisbee is starting up their season, and 4 LHS students are on the team!
What is Ultimate Frisbee?
Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact team sport, and it consists of elements from soccer and football. The goal of the game is to pass a frisbee among teammates to get to an endzone. The game begins with a kickoff, and the frisbee is passed like people passing the ball in soccer. 7 people from each team play on the field, with subs.
The LPS Team

Last year, the LPS Ultimate Frisbee team got 5th place in state last year, so they are hoping for an even more successful season this year!
Caden Bents is a sophomore at LHS, and he is on the Ultimate Frisbee team. When asked about his favorite part about this sport, he said, “I like the running aspect, and the passing. It’s fun! There isn’t a lot of pressure to show up to practice or do well at games, since it is a club sport. It’s very flexible.”
The first game of the Spring season was yesterday at the LHS Turf!
Good luck to the LHS athletes participating! We hope this season goes well!
