The final home Unified Basketball game took place against ThunderRidge high school, with the Lions taking the victory 92-80. It was a very hard fought game between both teams, with energetic players, fans and coaches.
“Season went pretty good. I think we took it to the top level. I’m sad it’s over,” said sophomore Nathan Simonds when asked about how his season went overall.
The team also combined with the ThunderRidge team to face off against Denver Metro firefighters during a shorter halftime game. The ThunderRidge/LHS combined team showed dominance, winning 38-14. This was the first ever exhibition match between firefighters, and unified players.
The team has faced many challenges but overall have had an incredible and fun 23-24 season. Congratulations to all the players and coaches, on a successful season!
